Located in Hendersonville, TN, Long Hollow Baptist Church identified their outdoor space adjacent to their worship center as an underutilized area that needed intentional design. The goal was to create a welcoming and engaging environment where church members and community members could connect throughout the week. Working with Visioneering Studios, CSDG created a master plan to design an inviting and interactive park that would appeal to all ages and have a lasting impact; the project was appropriately named “Legacy Park.” The park includes basketball and pickleball courts, turf grass fields and a new playground. Ample seating along the deck encourages groups to gather for conversation and covered patio areas allow parents to connect while watching their kids play. A focal point of the design is the sculptural “Stones of Remembrance” tower and water feature, where pathways leading from the existing Education Building, Kids Building and Student Building enhance navigation and connectivity. At night, the campus is equally appealing with generous lighting to encourage evening use.
